Welcome to my little spot in cyberspace. This homepage is made for creating space for my artwork that does not fit in the ‘fantasy’ idea of Elfwood.

My name is Anneke, I live in the Netherlands. I studied Interior Architecture. I celebrate my birthday on August the first (yes, I am a Leo).

I have been interested in art as long as I can remember. When I was a child my mother took me to musea and I loved it. My favourite painters are Johannes Vermeer (Dutch), Albrecht Dürer, Peter Paul Rubens, B.C. Koekoek (Dutch), Carel Willink (Dutch), Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh (Dutch), Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky, Salvador Dali, Ans Markus (Dutch), Anton Pieck (Dutch), Rien Poortvliet (Dutch) and many others.

My favourite writers are Emily Brontë, William Shakespeare, Heinrich Heine, Stephen King, Isaac Asimov. And a whole bunch of female Dutch writers, you wouldn't know of (for the Dutch readers: Yvonne Kroonenberg, Marjan Berk, Annie MG Schmidt, Yvonnne Keuls. Male: Godfried Bomans, Remco Campert, Louis Couperus, Hugo Claus, Harry Mulisch).

My favourite sports are swimming, long walks in the wood , play chess and make cryptograms (is that a sport?).

I like to play videogames. My favourites are Tomb Raider, Age of Empire, Rayman, Indiana Jones (Yeah all the 'soft' things, but actually, we have got all there is! We could start a store:). Everything new I like to try out. I don't like shoot 'em up stuff.

My device is: Think positive and take life as it comes. The day I found out life is really taking place the minute you live it, not yesterday or tomorrow, but now, everything changed for me. It is no final rehearsal, but real and once-only. So make something out of it!
