Description

The Art Duel website is designed to allow artists to challenge each other, artistically. The competing artworks are submitted to Art Duel and then a poll is posted allowing visitors to view and vote on their favorites. Each competition lasts 2 weeks, after which time the winner is declared. The champion then reserves the position of reigning Lord or Lady of that category until, and if, another challenging artist can unseat him/her. The competition's poll results are final. The Rules

    The rules are fairly simple:

  • No copyright infringement is allowed.

  • The competition begins when two opponents have signed up for the same category/subcategory.

  • Every subcategory will have no more than two duelling artists (except for the collaboration duels in the 'Miscellaneous' subcategories).

  • The Junior duels are meant for age 17 and under, but young people can also join the 'normal' categories.

  • The category 'Miscellaneous' is meant for duels of all kind. Different media may compete.
Collaboration pictures are accepted for the Miscellaneous duels. All artists involved in the picture, need to give their permission by e-mail.

  • Each competition lasts 3 weeks, after which time the winner is declared and reserves the position until, and if, another challenging artist can unseat him/her.

  • The competition is judged by a visitors voting poll, the results of which are final.

  • You may return to rechallenge a reigning champion.

  • Duelling positions are accepted in the order they were received.

  • You may compete in more than one category or subcategory.

Be sure to indicate your PICTURE, your name, email address, the title of the artwork you are submitting, the category and subcategory in your e-mail. Send the e-mail to: Artduel@gmail.com

  • Only one contest is allowed per category/subcategory [ex. Graphite - Fantasy] in any 3 week period. This means if there is already a duel in progress in the category/subcategory of your choice, you will have to wait until its completion before you can challenge the champion. However, do not hesitate to submit your challenge as soon as you feel so inclined. The next challenger to face the champion will be the one who is the quickest to submit their competition artwork. First come, first served.
